Spoilers ahead.
Hi I’m back because I truly love writing about tv!!! From compelling and thought-provoking to the trashy, mind-numbing realm of reality tv—I’m here for it all. Which is exactly why I thought I’d take on the latest season of Netflix’s train wreck dating reality show, Love is Blind.
By now, I think we can conclude that love isn’t entirely blind. In three seasons, only four LIB couples have survived. Most of the time, I’m not rooting for any of the them because they just don’t seem convincing (not you, Lauren and Cameron xo).
Season 4 though, is delivering everything dating reality television should. We’ve got couples to root four, actions to condemn in shock and horror, and even a potential best friend betrayal. Instead of writing a full play-by-play, I’ll be releasing Love is Blind couple power rankings after each episode drop. Let’s get into it.
Brett and Tiffany
Coming in first is probably the most intense (complimentary) couple I’ve seen on Love is Blind. Even the Love is Blind gods can’t seem to find a bad angle for them. Tiffany is very real and very true because I see nothing wrong with falling asleep while a man proclaims his undying love for you. Brett’s quiet, brooding energy is very endearing and I love how he spends his time talking about how lovely Tiffany is, and isn’t scared to hold his friends accountable when they’re acting stupid. A real man. As a couple they seem very mature, very aligned in their life goals and I certainly had to avert my eyes for some of their steamier scenes. They’re hot and in love and honestly, good for them!!
Jackie and Marshall
Honestly, if it wasn’t for Brett and Tiffany being the current prince and princess of this season and Jackie being a bit messy with her shit talking, this couple would have topped my list. I absolutely love how Marshall grounds Jackie, and makes her feel safe and supported through difficult times. Jackie seems fun and sweet, and I thought her emotional conversation with Marshall in Mexico was one of the most honest depictions of learning to accept support when it feels like the stress of the world is closing in on you. I wanted to hug Jackie in that moment, and Marshall handled it with the steady, unwavering support that she deserves. I truly hope that Jackie doesn’t self-sabotage in this relationship. I’m rooting for them.
Chelsea and Kwame
I don’t really like either of these people. Kwame is definitely a #cheater and does not love Chelsea at all. Him shamelessly flirting with her in front of Chelsea is disgusting and embarrassing and slimy! By bringing up how much he still thinks about Micah, he’s shown that he doesn’t respect Chelsea, nor care for her in the way he claims. I’ve chosen to rank them third because I do believe that Chelsea is in love and fully invested in Kwame. At the very least, I think there’s a solid chance that Kwame, knowing he’s in hot water with Chelsea, will overcompensate despite his blatant feelings for Micah and potentially end up saying yes at the altar. More likely though, I could also see him sabotaging the relationship because he’s too pathetic to express what he really wants. Only time will tell.
Micah and Paul
They don’t like each other and there’s no chance they’re getting married. Paul’s a loser for entertaining IRINA (Micah’s best friend) of all people. This man is literally just bored and doesn’t like his fiancee and doesn’t care that she flirts with other men because he too is slimy. Only redeeming quality is that when Micah finds out Paul and Irina have been clandestinely flirting, the drama will be fun to watch unfold.
Zack and Irina
Irina hatesssss that man and is an immature *checks notes* 25-year-old. Zack also has weird vibes and honestly deserved Irina’s vitriol because he picked wrong! That’s what you get! Zack, Bliss deserved to be better. Let her rest!!!!
Special mention: Marshall and Brett
Cute LIB bestiehood in the making. Mature kings who hold each other accountable and stand by their women. Peace be upon them.
